An exciting exhibition named Orla Kiely: A Life In Pattern is coming to London this summer. The retrospective will be the first exhibition dedicated to the Irish designer in the UK. Featuring over 150 patterns, products and original paper sketches - alongside collaborations with photographers, film directors and architects - the exhibition will examine in detail the power of decoration on transforming how we feel and the role of ornament and colour as part of the evolving aesthetic of the 21st century.
Orla Kiely is one of the UK and Ireland’s most successful designers. Her patterns are innovative, graceful and instantly recognisable. The Orla Kiely brand produces ready-to-wear collections, home-ware, furnishings, luggage and accessories, all beautifully decorated with her famous graphics. Her flagship store in London's Covent Garden is the epicentre of a global business that has won four prestigious UK Fashion Export Awards. The Orla Kiely design studio has collaborated with leading brands such as Heal's, Clarks, Apple and Uniqlo.
